Hi Joe,
I have just finished reading your book, not only was it harrowing, but an eye opener as to what children can be put through.
I have to ask though, why did you never feel that you wanted to get back at the ones that abused you.
Surely had you of done, it would have prevented so many other young innocent children going through the hands of uncle and other paedophiles.
I can appreciate he fact that you are now an adult and when you were young you were not believed, surely though you must have realised that it is something which still goes on?
I am not sure if you remember the Maria Colwell case, I was at school with her brothers, all of whom were at Dr Barnados home, yet her uncle, managed in the 1970's to abuse and murder her. The question has to be ask how and why was this allowed to happen, the same as one has to ask the same as to how you fell through the net.
So totally wrong, yet it is still going on.
I hope one day you take the courage to reveal the monsters that subjected you to a life of abuse and put them where they so rightly belong.

You are an inspiration to many people and I admire you totally for your candid truth.

I have just finished reading ur book which i borrowed from a friend. I am so sorry you had such a horrid childhood and cant even begin to understand what it could have been like for you. Your book is amazing and made me cry so many times. I am so pleased you have found that special person in your life and have a wonderful Family Life now.

On buying this book i could not put it down.I was has the other review said was waiting for joe to get saved,also waiting for the people that done all these horrible things to joe to get caught and put away but it never happened which was a bit dissapointing great book and wll be looking forward to reading the next book.

Hi, I bought your book on my way to Denmark, travelling from UK. Unfortunately my trip was not for plessure as I was going "home" to say goodby to my dying mother. I came across your book and thought this might be a way of getting my mind off things a bit. My mother passed away the day after I arrived in Dk and your book somehow has helped me to get through my time and realise how lucky I was to have such a good mother.

I am deeply saddenend by your experience but also feel great because throughout your book I somehow knew you had the courage to get through it. I am however angry at the people that hurt you but unfortunately the system is not working as well as it should and your story is a proof of that. I know that by you telloing your story you can help others and that is a great feling.

My friend gave me your book to read this morning (cry silent tears) and i was so gripped by it that that i have just finished reading it! I couldn't put it down. It is a sad fact that this happened to you but an evener sadder fact that this still goes on and very little seems to be done about it. I admire your courage and the fact that you are doing something about it. My friend couldn't finish reading the book but i felt that it had to be read to understand how you felt and how you got through it.

I am glad that you are doing so well and have moved on with your life, i wish you every success in your future projects.
