Regrets, I have a few

I got up at 6:00am today to face another day of writing a few more chapters of the second book, its seems to go on and on, the things I got up to when I ran away is madness; looking back now I wonder why I made so many mistakes hence why I called this post Regrets, I have a few. Every door that I came across was locked and sufferring volience at the hands of those that were supposed to help.

Emotions in Poetry

Many people, be it survivors or sufferers of child abuse, verbalise their emotion in poetry. This isn’t a recent development but something that has happened throughout the centuries. Shakespeare expressed his emotions through his writing, Robbie Williams even expresses his emotions in his songs and love is often expressed in the form of poetry. NSPCC More Scandals

Children’s charity the NSPCC has become the latest high profile organisation to be involved in a faking scandal - this time with made-up examples of child abuse.

In a letter sent out to generate donations, the society used a number of shocking examples of cruelty to young people.

NSPCC Corp Slammed for Sexually Explicit Booklet

WORTHING, UK, May 28, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A prominent UK charity has been implicated in the production and distribution of a sexually explicit “educational” pamphlet aimed at children as young as seven. The booklet has been removed from one school in West Surrey after complaints from parents, but the charity responsible, the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), has defended the material, saying the sexual material is already covered by the national sex education curriculum.

As an author one of the things I do, and not for ego, is check the Times Online Best Seller List for UK Books on a weekly basis. Some may think that this is egotistical but I can assure you it isn’t. My reasoning for checking is that each time I see the list and see Cry Silent Tears still at number one it means my message is getting out there and The Foundation of Survivors is one step closer to becoming a reality.

Frustrations of registering as a charitable organisation

You may or may not be aware but if you read the Foundation pages you will see that my ultimate goal is to raise £2 million in order to open a centre for children suffering at the hands of their abusers. I want to be able to reach out to as many children as possible and offer them a place of refuge and a sanctuary full of love and caring. Obviously I need to be able to raise money by there are so many frustrations of registering as a charitable organisation it is unbelievable.

Joseph Herbert Millbank located

Great news today; Joseph Herbert Millbank has been located after being missing since June 2008 and I am delighted to tell you he was arrested in St Tropez on Tuesday 19th August 2008 in St Tropez. Joseph Herbert Millbank was the first offender to hit the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre’s most wanted by the Scottish Police Force when he disappeared on 27th June 2008.
